An Introductory Course of OSTEO VIBRATIONAL GROUNDING

Wai Sang Liu
June 2025

Osteo Vibrational Grounding is a gentle and relaxing energy exercise, alternating between bouncing and standing with a main impact on bones and marrow to improve physical, emotional and mental health.

The centralisation on bones and marrow when performing this energy work is based on Chinese Medicine principles which state that the bones and bone marrow are directly associated with or often regarded as part of the kidney or water system which possesses a strong power in strengthening the body.

According to Chinese Medicine, the kidney or water system not only includes the structures and functions of the two kidneys but also includes and involves many other systems and physiological functions and anatomical features of the body. A few examples being: Skeletal, Reproductive and Prenatal Energy system, sensory organs such as the ears, teeth,...

Countless Chinese energy practitioners have dedicated much of their time and effort to improve exercises designed to upkeep the kidney and water system. They share this devotion owing to the fact that they discovered again and again that by keeping a strong and intact kidney or water system through engaging regularly in certain kinds of energy exercises related to the upkeep of this system can bring a variety of benefits to the body. These benefits include an improvement in the maintenance of the growth and development of the body, a likelihood of enhancing personal willpower and motivation, increase stress resistance,...

The muscular system is considered to be part of the postnatal system while the skeletal system is considered to be part of tthe prenatal system in Chinese Medicine. These exercises, by centralising on the skeletal system, not only enable the muscular system to send part of its postnatal energy to the prenatal energy system. As a result, this work can facilitate a better flow of energy (mobilisation of electrons) to build up a stronger skeletal system. This, in turn, can reinforce the strengthening power of the kidney or water system to provide more benefits to the body.

Currently, the practice of grounding (also called earthing, a technique that involves doing activities that “ground” or electrically reconnect you to the earth) to improve health has become more popular. In fact, standing still in open air to exchange energy or Qi with nature has been in existance for a few thousand years as a traditional health exercise.

The development of Ostea Vibrational Grounding is just one of the fruits resulting from more than sixty years of my own personal experience and knowledge of many schools of Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong. While standing still is a static or Yin part of Osteo Vibrational grounding, bouncing can be regarded to be a more dynamic or Yang part. Thus, together, these two parts can constitute a whole of Tai Chi or Elektronic Qigong or Energy Work.
